EASTON, Mass. - American International College senior
Ana Paula Simoes (Brasilia, Brazil) picked up her fifth win of the season, but women's tennis fell at Stonehill Thursday afternoon, 8-1.
With the win Simoes moves to 5-2 this season at first singles. With the loss AIC falls to 1-7 overall this season, while with the win the Skyhawks moved to 6-2 overall and 5-1 in Northeast-10 matches.
Simoes and her counterpart, Bailey Paradiso, went deep in two sets, with Simoes coming out on top, 6-4, in both.
Junior
Eleanna Fulop (Anixi-Attiki, Greece) earned games at second singles and picked up a game in first doubles with Simoes at No. 1 doubles.
The Yellow Jackets return home Saturday, Oct. 3 against Southern New Hampshire a 1 p.m.
