RINDGE, N.H. The American International men's basketball team survived an overtime battle with the Ravens of Franklin Pierce Thursday night in Northeast-10 action at The Fieldhouse, 76-70.

With the win AIC doubles its win total from last year, moving to 18-5 overall and 13-4 in NE-10 play. With the loss, Franklin Pierce falls to 13-10 and 8-8 in league play.

Yellow Jacket senior forward Marcus Porter (New Castle, Del.) carried his regulation momentum into the second half, scoring 11 of the team's 18 points in the overtime frame to help AIC earn the crucial NE-10 road victory. Porter was a perfect 4-for-4 from the floor including a 3-pointer in the extra period and finished with a team-high 25 points.

The Ravens responded with a 10-1 run of their own, cutting the deficit to one with 5:40 left on the clock. Ryen Vilmont scored the last five points of the half to tie it up at 58 apiece and add five minutes to the game. Vilmont finished with a game-high34 in the losing effort.

The overtime period started put with a Porter 3-pointer and the Yellow Jackets never trailed from there.

Dobbs came alive in the second half, knocking down three from long range and finished with 22 points for the game. Senior guard Bobby Harris (Berlin, N.J.) finished with 11 points and nine rebounds.
