MANSFIELD, Mass. American International College senior forward Sydney Tepley (Racine, Wis.) was recognized on the Northeast-10 Women's Basketball week five honor roll announced by the league office Monday afternoon.
In AIC's lone game of the week, a 65-60 road win at Southwest foe Le Moyne, Tepley led the team in both points (18) and rebounds (14). The double-double was her first of the season. Tepley is averaging 7.7 points and 7.6 boards-per-game. Classmate Brianna Bishop (Suffield, Conn.) was named the NE-10 Player of the Week in the third report, while freshman Dana Watts (Rochester, N.Y.) earned Co-Rookie of the Week Honors last Monday.
The Yellow Jackets (7-0, 5-0 NE-10) are off to their best start since 2005-06 when they opened the season 10-0. AIC received votes in last week's USA Today Coaches Poll and look for a possible national ranking when the poll is released Tuesday.
American International host Post University tonight, Monday, Dec. 14 at Henry A. Butova Gymnasium. Tip-off is slated for 5:30 p.m.
