MANSFIELD, Mass. The American International College volleyball team landed two players on the Northeast-10 weekly honor roll announced by the league Monday.
AIC junior outside hitter Natalija Dordevic (Belgrade, Serbia) and freshman setter Roxana Wenger (Giph-Oberfrick, Switzerland) were recognized for their efforts last week while helping lead the Jackets to a 2-0 mark.
Dordevic averaged 4.25 kills-per-set and hit .397 in two matches, a four-set win over Assumption and a five-set victory at Merrimack. She continues to lead the NE-10 in kills-per-set (3.88) and is third in total kills (283). Dordevic was named the Player of the Week in the week one report and has been on the honor three times.
Wenger is on the honor roll for the second straight week. The rookie setter eclipsed 50 assists for the fourth time this season, recording 52 in the road win over the Warriors. She averaged 10.75 assists-per-set for the week and ranks fifth in the NE-10 for the season (9.49).
The Yellow Jackets travel to Southern Connecticut Tuesday and host Saint Michael's Friday night.
