SYRACUSE, N.Y. The American International baseball team dropped two one-run games at Le Moyne College including a 14 inning affair in game two, 2-1 and 5-4 (14).
Down a run heading into the ninth, sophomore left fielder Tyler Geffert (Hopedale, Mass.) homered to knot the game at one apiece.
Junior right hander David Kerlezja (Unionville, Conn.) went the distance, allowing two earned off three hits, striking out four.
Andy Cherico (Rehoboth, Mass.) went 2-for-4 as the Yellow Jackets recorded eight hits.
AIC battled in the season finale, taking a 5-1 lead after five. Senior lefty Matt Lee (Stratford, Conn.) threw seven innings, striking out five, allowing two earned off five hits.
Sophomore Brett Bohl (Ludlow, Mass.) and catcher Dan Fenton (Agawam, Mass.) had multi-hit games for the Jackets.
Sophomore shortstop Eddie Ritch (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) knocked in two, while Lucas Vallas (East Northport, N.Y.) and Bohl batted in the other two AIC runs.
Steve Pino (Putnam Valley, N.Y.), Kevin Wnukowski (Douglas, Mass.), and Jeff Krucunas (Enfield, Conn.) threw 6.2 innings of relief before Le Moyne hit their second walk-off of the day.
