Live Stats

ABOUT AIC (6-2, 4-1 NE-10): The Yellow Jackets recovered nicely from a home loss to Le Moyne earlier in the month with two impressive conference road wins at then No. 2 Southern Connecticut, 100-91, and Pace University, 85-72, after a week off for final exams. Senior forward Marcus Porter (New Castle, Del.) has been selected to the Northeast-10 weekly honor roll four out of five weeks and leads the Jackets with 18.6 points. AIC has featured a balanced scoring attack receiving big games from multiple players. The Yellow Jackets have four players, along with Porter, averaging double figure scoring; Bobby Harris (Berlin, N.J.) 15.9, Cameron Dobbs (Albany, N.Y.) 13.8, and Trahmier Burrell (Albany, N.Y.) with 12.4. Burrell notched his third double-double of the year at Pace with 10 points and grabbed 10 rebounds. He leads the squad with 8.1 boards. As a team AIC is averaging 76.6 points and shooting nearly 46 percent from the field.

LAST TIME OUT: Porter netted a game-high 22 points off 8-for-11 shooting in a NE-10 divisional road win at Pace, 82-75. Dobbs hit three 3-pointers in the first half and finished with 13, while Burrell's double-double and Harris' 10 helped lead the Jackets to another conference victory. Al-Shabazz Jabateh (East Orange, N.J.) and Nolan Woodward (Montreal, Quebec) provided a spark off the bench, combining for all 16 bench points in the win. AIC shot 53.1 percent from the floor while holding the Setters to 42.1.

SCOUTING THE CHARGERS (4-4, 4-1 CACC): Dominican most recently beat Bloomfield, 92-80, but opened the season with back-to-back losses to Northeast-10 programs Stonehill and Assumption. The Chargers put up 75.9 points led by center Nick Smith's 24.6. The only other Charger averaging double figures is Robert Hueston with 10.1 points. The Chargers hosted Felician last night.

THE ROAD AHEAD: AIC heads to Chestnut Hill Friday, Dec. 19 for a 12 p.m. tip-off. The Yellow Jackets close out non-conference play Wednesday, Dec. 31 when they travel to Post University.
