ALBANY, N.Y. – The American International College men's basketball team dropped a 71-63 Northeast-10 contest at the College of Saint Rose Saturday afternoon, dropping its record to 9-15 overall and 6-15 in conference play.
Junior center Dominykas Milka (Queens, N.Y.) and freshman forward Tyler Sayre (Garnerville, N.Y.) both tallied a double-double to lead the Golden Knights (13-12/10-11 NE-10). Milka scored a game-high 26 points with 14 rebounds and three assists, while Sayre netted 20 points with 10 rebounds and four assists. Senior guard Andre Pope (White Plains, N.Y.) added 12 points with three rebounds, three assists and three steals.

Janek Schmidkunz (Berlin, Germany) scored 17 points on 6 of 13 shooting from the field with five threes, while senior guard
Ricky Hudson (Sewell, N.J.) netted 15 points with five boards. Junior guard
Spencer Braithwaite (Dorchester, Mass.) added 10 points with four rebounds and three assists.
Saint Rose led for most of the first half and took a 40-38 lead into the locker room at the break. AIC got out to a quick start in the second half, opening the period with a 7-2 run to take a 47-42 lead following a three from Braithwaite.
The Yellow Jackets led 51-46 after Schmidkunz drained a three six minutes into the second half before the Golden Knights went on a 13-1 run to regain the lead for good.
AIC will close out the 2012-13 season Tuesday with a 7:30 p.mn. Northeast-10 contest at Assumption College.
