RINDGE, N.H. –Senior guard
Ricky Hudson (Sewell, N.J.) scored a game-high 20 points on 8-of-17 shooting from the field with four threes but it was not enough as the American International College men's basketball team dropped a 70-61 Northeast-10 contest at Franklin Pierce University Tuesday night.
The Ravens improved to 13-5 overall and 10-4 in the NE-10 with the win, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 6-12 for the season and 3-11 in conference play.
Graduate guard
Sesoo Ikpah (Williamstown, N.J.) added 12 points with three rebounds and two assists, while junior guard
Jason Perrier (Bridgeport, Conn.) netted 10 points with a team-best seven boards. Fellow junior guard
Spencer Braithwaite (Dorchester, Mass.) contributed eight points with four assists, three rebounds and three steals.
Sophomore forward Ryen Vilmont (Philadelphia, Pa.) poured in 18 points with five boards, three assists and two steals to lead Franklin Pierce, while Ellis Cooper (Northampton, Mass.) fell just short of a double-double with 12 points and a game-high nine rebounds. Junior forward Adrianos Vourliotakis Perdikaris (Cholargos, Athens) added 10 points and also pulled down a game-high nine rebounds, and senior guard Eric Jean-Guillaume (Stamford, Conn.) scored nine points with eight boards, four steals and three rebounds.
Free throw shooting turned out to be the difference in this contest. The Ravens were 19-of-26 from the charity stripe, while the Yellow Jackets were 7-for-11 at the line. AIC outscored Franklin Pierce on the floor, making one additional field goal witch was also a three.
The Yellow Jackets will look to get back on track Saturday, February 2, when they host a 3:30 Northeast-10 contest against Southern New Hampshire University.
