ABOUT AIC: The American International College men's ice hockey team enter the weekend with an overall record of 7-23-2 and 6-17-2 in Atlantic Hockey. AIC swept a home-and-home series against the Black Knights of Army with a victory of 5-2 on Friday and a 3-2 win on Saturday. Five different individuals scored for the Yellow Jackets. The first three goals were scored in the matter of two minutes in the beginning of the second period. All five goals were scored in the second period. AIC was down 1-0 in the first before senior forward Richard Leitner knotted the contest 1-1 in the second. Junior forward Adam Pleskach and Penny added a goal each for the Yellow Jackets on their way to a 3-2 victory. Arcibal leads AIC in points with six goals and 17 assists for 23 points, while Pleskach closely followed with 14 goals and eight assists for 22 points. Junior forward Steve Mele is third on the team with eight goals and 10 assists for 18 points, while Penny rounds off the top four with four goals and 13 assists for 17 points. Meisner is now 7-19-2 in net for the Yellow Jackets with 906 saves a .911 save percentage and 3.19 goals against average.

Senior Spotlight: Tonight is Senior Night at AIC, and marks the final home game for seniors Nielsson Arcibal, Rob Blanchette, Michael Penny and Luciano Primiani. Arcibal has skated in each of AIC's 130 games in his four seasons as a Yellow Jacket, scoring 23 goals with 54 assists for 77 career points. His 77 career points are the fourth-most in the Division I era of the program, while his 54 career assists are just two shy of the Division I record. He scored a career-best 11 goals with 14 assists for a career-best 25 points a year ago, and has six goals with a career-best 17 assists for 23 points so far this season. Blanchette has taken to the ice in 108 games in his four seasons on the blue line at AIC, tallying two goals with eight assists for 10 career points. He has appeared in 27 games so far this season, scoring one goal with two assists for three points. Penny has played in 119 games in his four seasons at AIC, scoring 28 goals with 34 assists for 62 career points. He recorded career-high totals of 11 goals and 22 points as a junior, and has a career-best 13 assists so far this season. Primiani has skated in 89 games on defense in his four seasons at AIC, scoring two goals with 10 assists for 12 career points. He appeared in all 32 games as a freshman, scoring two goals with eight assists for 10 points. Arcibal, Penny and Primiani are three-time Atlantic Hockey All-Academic selections, while Blanchette is a two-time AHA All-Academic performer.

About UConn: The Huskies enter the home-and-home series with an overall record of 13-17-3 and 11-12-2 in conference play, after recently dropping a weekend series against Bentley University. Friday's contest was a 2-1 overtime loss, while Saturday was a 6-1 decision. Sophomore Billy Latta finished the weekend with two points with a goal on Friday and an assist on Saturday night. Sophomore Brant Harris notched a power-play goal on Saturday, giving him nine for the season. Sophomore forward Cole Schneider leads the Huskies with 17 goals and 15 assists for 32 points. Harris (14 goals, 11 assists) and Latta (eight goals, 17 assists) are tied for second with 25 points each. Junior goaltender Garrett Bartus ranks No. 1 in the nation with 936 saves. Bartus is 12-17-2 in net for UConn with a .921 save percentage and a 2.56 goals agianst average.

About the Series: AIC is 35-41-9 against UConn, including a 2-2 tie in the first meeting of the season between the two teams. The Yellow Jackets earned a 4-1 victory over the Huskies in their 2007-08 season.

Last Time They Met: The Yellow Jackets had a 1-0 lead before Pleskach extended the lead to 2-0 when he stole the puck and broke in all alone for a shorthanded goal 4:53 into the second. Harris scored in the second to inch within one, while freshman forward Cody Sharib tied the game 5:05 into the third. The contest went into overtime for a 2-2 final.
