WOMEN'S GAME NOTES

ABOUT AIC (8-11, 7-8 NE-10): The Yellow Jackets have dropped two straight entering tonight's game, falling at home to Franklin Pierce 74-59 and on the road at Southern New Hampshire 60-43 last week. AIC had won three in a row and five of their previous six heading into last week. Senior guard Michelle Lafond leads the team in scoring with 13.9 points per game and leads the NE-10 with 56 made threes on the season. Senior forward Rhea Pascal is averaging 11.2 points and a team-best 8.8 rebounds per game, while freshman guard Alyssa Roach is averaging 9.5 points and 3.7 boards per game to go with a team-best 72 assists and 34 steals. She ranks in the top-12 in the NE-10 in both categories.

ABOUT PACE (15-4, 12-3 NE-10): The Setters are coming off a 48-47 loss at Stonehill Saturday afternoon that snapped an eight-game winning streak. Senior forward Brittany Shields leads the team in scoring and rebounding with 17.3 points and 9.7 rebounds per game to go with 43 assists and 19 steals. Senior guards Kerri White and Carol Johnson are both averaging 10.1 points per game. Johnson is also averaging 4.6 rebounds per game with a team-best 55 assists and 19 steals, while White is averaging 3.3 rebounds per game with 46 assists and a team-leading 37 steals.

MEN'S GAME NOTES

ABOUT AIC (6-13, 4-11): The Yellow Jackets are in search of their third straight win after defeating a pair of teams with winning records last week to snap an eight-game losing skid. AIC won a 68-67 overtime thriller at home over Franklin Pierce before posting a 78-66 win at Southern New Hampshire. Graduate guard Sesoo Ikpah was named to the Northeast-10 Men's Basketball Honor Roll after averaging 18 points and three rebounds per game, while shooting 65 percent from the field last week. He is averaging 8.8 points and 3.4 rebounds per game this season. Sophomore guard Spencer Braithwaite is averaging 12.2 points and 3.3 rebounds per game to go with 60 assists and 26 steals. Fellow sophomore guard Janek Schmidkunz is averaging 10 points and 2.1 rebounds per game, and ranks fourth in the NE-10 with 51 made threes.

ABOUT PACE (9-10, 7-8 NE-10): The Setters went 1-1 last week, defeating Merrimack at home 71-67 before losing at Stonehill, 73-68. Pace is 6-5 at home this season, compared to a 3-5 mark on the road. Sophomore guard Denzel Primus-Devonish leads the team in scoring with 14.6 points per game and also leads the team with 76 assists, while junior forward Keon Williams is averaging 11.2 points and 6.5 rebounds per game. Sophomore forward Jonathan Merceus is averaging 8.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game, while senior guard Adrian Mills is averaging 8.6 points and 3.1 rebounds per contest.

NEXT UP: The Yellow Jackets will host a Northeast-10 doubleheader against Adelphi University Saturday, with the women's game tipping off at 1:30 p.m. and the men's game tipping off at 3:30 p.m.
