WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men's ice hockey team dropped a 7-3 decision to end the weekend series against Air Force on Saturday night. The Yellow Jackets dropped to 3-11-2 overall and 2-6-2 in Conference play, while the Falcons are now 9-4-2 overall and 8-2-1 in Atlantic Hockey.
Air force started the contest scoring three consecutive goals with the first goal being at 2:31 by sophomore forward Casey Kleisinger (Edwards, Colo.). Fourty nine seconds later freshman forward Chad Demers (Grafton, N.D.) scored the Falcons second goal of the contest. Junior forward Stephen Carew (Eden Prairie, Minn.) scored 17 seconds to make it a 3-0 contest.

Steven Hoshaw (Vista, Calif.) made it a 3-2 contest at 10:06 in the second period off a pass from freshman forward
Nathan Sliwinski (Castle Rock, Co.). Junior forward Kyle De Laurell (Mission Viejo, Calif.) tipped in a pass from senior defenseman Scott Mathis (Crystal Lake, Ill.) at 19:48 in the second period to make it a 4-2 game heading into the third period.
De Laurell scored his second goal of the night at 9:36 in the third, while Carew scored his second goal of the contest at 11:01 to make it a 6-2 contest. Junior defenseman
Jeff Ceccacci (Placentia, Calif.) scored AIC's last goal of the night at 15:50 in the third. Junior forward
Adam Pleskach (Beausejour, MB.) earned the assist of Ceccacci's goal.
The Falcons recorded a 7-3 victory over the Yellow Jackets, while outshooting AIC 23-43.
Senior goaltender Stephen Caple (Rice Lake, Wis.) recorded 20 saves in earning the win, while freshman Chander Long (Point Lookout, N.Y.) had 34 saves in 56:33 with four goals allowed.
The Yellow Jackets will travel to Rochester, N.Y. to take on RIT in an Atlantic Hockey weekend series on December 9th and 10th for 7:05 p.m. contests.
