SPRINGFIELD, Mass. - The American International field hockey team dropped 2-1 overtime decision to Merrimack College Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 conference contest. The Warriors improved to 14-1 overall and 8-0 in conference play, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 9-6 overall and 4-3 in NE-10 play.
The contest remained scoreless until 56:03 when junior forward April Daugherty (Wakefield, RI ) scored an unassisted goal to give Merrimack a 1-0 lead. The Warriors lead only lasted 1:12, senior forward

Merrimack outshot AIC 34-17, while the Yellow Jackets held a 15-10 advantage in penalty corners.
AIC will host Adelphi University on Tuesday night for a 6 p.m. Northeast-10 contest at Ronald J. Abdow field.
