COLCHESTER, Vt. – The American International College field hockey team won 2-0 over Saint Michael's College on Saturday afternoon to close out the 2010 regular season. With the win the Yellow Jackets improved to 13-6 overall and 8-2 in the Northeast-10, while the Purple Knights fell to 2-15 overall and 1-9 in league play.

Kim Steiner (Little Falls, N.Y.) made one save in 65:21 to earn the victory for the Yellow Jackets, while senior goalie Meghan McLaughlin (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) stopped 9 in the loss.
AIC outshot Saint Michael's 18-1 and held a 10-1 advantage in penalty corners.
The Yellow Jackets will host sixth-seeded Franklin Pierce University on Tuesday afternoon for a 3 p.m. Northeast-10 Championship Tournament first round contest.
