SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men's soccer team recorded a 3-1 win against Queens College on Tuesday night at Ronald J. Abdow field. The Yellow Jackets improved to 7-9-1 overall, while the Knights fell to 5-11-1.
Queens jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when junior forward Christos Koulaklis (Patchogue, N.Y.) scored off a feed from senior midfielder Eric Vazquez (Fresh Meadows, N.Y.) 30 minutes into the game and took that advantage into half.

Thomas Denomme (North Smithfield, R.I.) knotted the game at 1-1 for AIC off a pass from sophomore midfielder
Conor Doyle (Douglas, Isle of Man) 51 minutes in. The Yellow Jackets took the lead 63 minutes in when senior forward
Sean Stevenson (Holyoke, Mass.) headed the ball past the Knights goalie to make it a 2-1 game.
Denomme closed the scoring for AIC with 5:39 left on an unassisted goal to make the final score 3-1.
Freshman goalkeeper
Jason Ryan (Peabody, Mass.) made six in earning his first career victory in his first career start for the Yellow Jackets, while junior goalie Demetrios Tourous (LIC, N.Y.) stopped six in the loss.
AIC outshot Queens 19-15, while the corners kicks were even at six each.
AIC will host Bentley University on Friday afternoon for a 4 p.m. Northeast-10 contest.
