SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men's soccer team netted three goals in the last 20-minutes of regulation to claim 3-1 victory over Bridgeport. The game was the first ever night game under the new lights at John Homer Miller Field. With the win the Yellow Jackets improve to 4-5-0 this season, while the loss drops the Purple Knights to 3-2-2 overall.

Bridgeport took a 1-0 lead 23:12 into the first half when freshman Johnathan Aristizabel (Medellin, Colombia) found the back of the net off of a rebound.

Sophomore #Tim Britt# (North Chelmsford, Mass.) knotted the game at 1-1 for AIC when he scored on a penalty kick in the 72-minute. Classmate #Thomas Denomme# (North Smithfield, R.I.) tallied, what would prove to be the game winning goal, just 12-minutes later with a hand from graduate student #Ohionameh Aregbeyen# (Brooklyn, N.Y.). Freshman #Conor Doyle# (Douglas, Ireland) sealed the victory for AIC when he netted a goal with less than a minute reaming in the game with an assist from sophomore #Brett Barry# (Springfield, Mass.)

Senior, goalie #Ryan Brooks-Newton# (Selkirk, N.Y.) stopped for shots to earn the win, while counterpart, junior Milos Suljagic (Belgrade, Serbia) made nine saves for the Purple Knights.

The Yellow Jackets outshot Bridgeport 22-7 and held a 3-1 advantage in corner kicks.
