Nyack, N.Y. – Junior midfielder Daniel Ocamo (Mexico City, Mexico) scored on a penalty kick in the 66th-minute to give Nyack College a 1-0 men's soccer victory over visiting American International College Thursday evening in game-two of the Warrior Invitational. It was the season-opener for both teams.

The Yellow Jackets had a penalty kick of their own in the 60th-minute, but junior keeper Adrian Ibanez (Toronto, Ont.) was up to the task in goal as he stopped not one, but two shots. Freshman midfielder #Conor Doyle# (Douglas, Ireland) was stopped on the penalty kick and the rebound went back to sophomore forward #Thomas Denomme# (North Smithfield, R.I.), but Ibanez was able to recover and stopped the rebound attempt to keep the game scoreless.

Ibanez recorded five saves to earn the win in goal for the Warriors, while graduate keeper #Ryan Brooks-Newton# (Selkirk, N.Y.) had two saves in taking the loss. AIC held a 9-7 advantage in shots and a 6-4 advantage in corner kicks.

AIC will next face Caldwell College Saturday at 1:30 p.m. in the second day of the Warrior Invitational.
