Colchester, Vt. – The American International College men's soccer team dropped a 1-0 decision at Saint Michael's College Saturday afternoon in a Northeast-10 contest. The Purple Knights improved to 7-4-3 overall and 3-4-3 in the NE-10, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 7-9-0 overall and 4-6-0 in conference play.

Freshman forward Ben Lessard (Allenstown, N.H.) scored the only goal of the game in the 38th-minute off a pass from junior midfielder Ryan Gannon (Colchester, Conn.) and senior keeper Jason Burnett (South Burlington, Vt.) registered three saves to earn the win in goal for Saint Michael's. Senior keeper #Ryan Brooks-Newton# (Selkirk, N.Y.) had three stops in goal for AIC.

The Yellow Jackets outshot the Purple Knights 15-10 and had a 5-3 edge in corner kicks.

AIC returns home Tuesday when it hosts Southern Connecticut State University in 7 p.m. Northeast-10 contest at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
