Mackenzie Kewley# (Rutland, Mass.) scored each of the teams three goals as the American International College field hockey team recorded a 3-2 Northeast-10 victory at Saint Anselm College Saturday afternoon.
Kewley's three goals were the first of her collegiate career and set the school record for most goals scored by a single player in a game. The previous mark of two goals had been shared by several players since the program began in 1996. The Yellow Jackets (5-11, 3-5) also tied the school-record for wins in a season, which was set just last year.
The Hawks (1-14, 0-8) took an early 1-0 lead when junior back Sara Griffin (Derry, N.H.) scored just 2:24 into the contest and that lead stood until Kewley scored the first goal of her career with 2:34 left in the first half off a feed from freshman forward/midfielder #

Kewley gave AIC a 2-1 lead with an unassisted goal 4:20 into the second half and scored the game-winner off a pass from sophomore midfielder #
Jessica Hall# (Higganum, Mass.) with 3:58 to go in the contest. Sophomore back/midfielder Morgan Seney (Bow, N.H.) tied the game at 2-2 at the 59:33 mark of a penalty corner.

Kim Steiner# (Little Falls, N.Y.) made two saves to earn the win in goal, while freshman goalie Lindsey MacDonald (Dedham, Mass.) recorded eight saves in taking the loss.
The Yellow Jackets outshot Saint Anselm 19-7 and had a 15-3 advantage in penalty corners.
AIC returns home Wednesday when it hosts Saint Michael's College in a 6 p.m. Northeast-10 contest at Ronald J. Abdow Field.
