Worcester, Mass. – The American International College men's hockey team lost Saturday evening to Holy Cross by a score of 3-0. With the loss the Yellow Jackets record falls to 3-9-0 for the season and to 3-7-0 in Atlantic Hockey play, while the win improves the Crusaders record to 3-7-1 overall and to 3-6-1 in the conference.
Holy Cross struck first as sophomore J.P. Martignetti (Winchester, Mass.) netted his first goal of the season at the 11:56 mark in the first period with assists from freshmen Andrew Cox (Lombardy, Ont.) and Luke Miller (Andover, Mass.). The Crusaders outshot AIC 10-4 in period one.
After the first intermission, with the score 1-0, Holy Cross improved it's lead to 2-0 when sophomore Everett Sheen (Lethbridge, Alb.) found the back of the net with assists from senior Marty Dams (Manotick, Ont.) and junior Brodie Sheahan (Lethbridge, Alb.). The Yellow Jackets killed off both of the Crusaders power play opportunities in the period.
Holy Cross capped off its victory as freshman Jay Silvia (Burlington, Mass.) scored an unassisted goal with 1:37 left in the third period to give the Crusaders 3-0 lead.

Tom Fenton# (Sarnia, Ont.) made 20 saves in the loss for AIC, while sophomore Adam Roy (Feeding Hills, Mass.) tallied 17 stops to record the shutout and victory.
The Yellow Jackets were outshot 23-17, but outshot Holy Cross 8-7 in the third period.
Next up, AIC travels to Bentley on Wednesday for an AHA contest at 7:05 p.m.
