About AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter today's match-up with an overall record of 0-2-0 and are 0-0-0 in the AHA after lossing to Quinnipiac 4-1 in the consolation game of the Mutual of Omaha Stampede last Saturday evening. About AIR FORCE: The Falcons come into tonight's contest with a record of 4-0-0 on the seaon and are 2-0-0 in the conference after sweeping Bemidji State last weekend. In the first game on Friday night, Air Force recorded a 6-2 win over the Beavers. Senior Josh Frider and sophomore Jacques Lamoureux each scored twice, while junior Jeff Hajner and sophomore Blake Page each netted a goal. Lamoureux, Frider, and Page each also had an assist. Junior netminder Andrew Volkening made 16 saves for th Falcons in the victory. In the second game on Saturday night, Air Force scored six goals again vs. Bemidji State, this time posting a 6-0 win over the Beavers. Seniors Greg Flynn and Mike Phillipich each recorded two goals, while Lamoureux and freshman Greg Burgdoerfer each scored once. Volkening made 15 stops to record his first shutout of the season.
2007-08 Recap: AIC finished the season with an overall record of 8-23-5, including an 8-17-3 mark in Atlantic Hockey.
Jereme Tendler was a third-team all-conference selection after leading the Yellow Jackets with 10 goals and five power play goals and placing third on the team in scoring with 21 points.
Dan Ramirez was in net for each of AIC's victories as a freshman. AIC recorded a pair of victories over league power Rochester Institute of Technology and recorded ties against then 16-ranked Rensselaer and Dartmouth in non-league play.
KEY LOSSES: The Yellow Jackets will be missing eight players from a year ago, including three of their top-five scorers.
Mark Pavli was second on the team in scoring with 23 points and tied for the team lead in assists with 16. Tendler was the team's third-leading scorer with 21 points and led the team with 10 goals and five power play goals.
Chris Bolognino tied for fourth in scoring and led all defensemen in scoring with seven goals and nine assists for 16 points.
Greg Genovese (nine goals, five assists) and
Bryan Jurynec each tallied 14 points.
