Omaha, Neb. – The American International College men's ice hockey lost to Quinnipiac 4-1 on Saturday evening in the consolation game at the Mutual of Omaha Stampede. The Yellow Jackets lost in the tournament opener 4-1 to host Nebraska Omaha on Friday night. Quinnipiac senior David Marshall (Buffalo, Minn.) put the Bobcats up 1-0 just 5 minutes into the first period and the team would not look back scoring three more first period goals. Freshman Spencer Heichman (Yorba Linda, Calif.), classmate David Arduin (Half Moon Bay, B.C.), and sophomore Zach Hansen (White Bear Lake, Minn.) all scored for Quinnipiac, putting them on top 4-0 at the end of the first period.
In the second period AIC looked to make a comeback when Campanale scored at the seven minute mark with the assist from fellow senior #
Matt Woodard# (St. Louis Park, Minn.) to make the score 4-1, but this was the only goal the Yellow Jackets would get.

Tom Fenton# (Sarnia, Ont.) tallied 22 saves in the loss for AIC, while freshman Nick Pisellini (Itasca, Ill.) made just 14 stops to gain the victory for the Bobcats.
Quinnipiac outshot the Yellow Jackets 26-15, 11-2 in the first period and 13-6 in the second, while AIC outshot the Bobcats in the third period 2-7.
