Colchester, Vt. - The American International College men's basketball team lost its third consecutive game after falling at Saint Michael's, 68-60. The Purple Knights improved to 6-1 on the season and 4-1 in the Northeast-10, while the Yellow Jackets fell to 2-5 overall and 1-4 in conference play. Sophomore forward
Ryan Leak (Brooklyn, N.Y.) recorded a double-double for the Yellow Jackets, scoring 16 points and grabbing 12 boards.
Senior guard James Sorrentine (Pawtucket, R.I.) scored a game-high 21 points to lead Saint Michael's and senior forward Brian Monahan (Kinderhook, N.Y.) registered a double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds.

Sesoo Ikpah (Williamstown, N.J.) scored 13 points with four rebounds for AIC and while sophomore forward
Aikeem Vanderhorst (Bay Shore, N.Y.) chipped in with 10 points. Senior guard
Jeff Dosado (Montreal, P.Q.) handed out a game-high six assists and scored five points.
The lead changed hands eight times in the game and was tied seven times and the Purple Knights used a 10-2 run to take the lead for good at 57-50 with 7:37 to go in the contest. The Yellow Jackets cut Saint Michael's lead to five with 2:24 left on the clock, but that was as close as they'd get as the Purple Knights made eight of its 10 free throw attempts down the stretch to hold on for the win.
The difference in the game was the 3-point shooting between the two teams. Saint Michael's hit 10 of its 26 3-pointers, while AIC made just three of 14 attempts from long distance. The Yellow Jackets dominated in the paint, outscoring the Purple Knights 36-16.
AIC will return to action Saturday when it hosts Southern Connecticut at Butova Gymnasium at 3:30 p.m. in a Northeast-10 contest.
