Jereme Tendler (Viceroy, Sask.) scored two goals but the American International College ice hockey squad dropped a 6-3 Atlantic Hockey Association match-up to the Air Force Falcons Friday evening. The loss drops the Yellow Jackets to 2-7-2 overall and 2-5-1 in the AHA while the win propels the Falcons to 8-4-1 overall and 6-4-1 in the conference.
Brent Olson grabbed the game's first goal for the Falcons just over four minutes into the first stanza when he ripped a slap-shot past AIC goalie

Olson scored twice in the period, but not before AIC sophomore
David Turco (Sault Ste. Marie, Ont.) knotted the contest at one, 13 seconds after Air Force scored. Turco snuck into through the defense on the power-play and flicked a wrist-shot past Falcons goalie Ian Harper from the left side.
Olson scored again, this time on the power-play just over 10 minutes into the game. Olson received a pass from Josh Frider and pounded it home from right in front of the net.
AIC wouldn't finish the period without a fight. Tendler scored his first goal when he broke in on a breakaway and flipped home a backhanded shot at the 14:17 mark tying the score before the period's conclusion.
Air Force score three times in the second period to jump out to a 5-2 lead going into the third frame. Matt Fairchild gave the Falcons the lead at the 4:37 mark when he swung in on a breakaway and tossed a wrist-shot past Fenton's glove. Derick Burnett was given an assist on the goal for Air Force who out shot AIC 17-4 in the period.
The Falcons scored two minutes after the Fairchild goal on the power-play. Eric Ehn took a feed from Olson from right in front of the net and one-timed it past Fenton, making the score 4-2.
Josh Frider gave Air Force a three goal advantage again on the power-play just over 13 minutes into the game's second stanza. Michael Mayra blasted a slap-shot on net that was redirected by Frider for the score.
Dan Ramirez surrendered the goal after replacing Fenton 12 minutes into the period.
The third frame saw a goal from each side. Air Force's Matt Fairchild powered home a power-play goal after pushing home a shot from between the circles. The Falcons scored four times on the man advantage during the game.
Tendler notched his second goal of the game, which proved to be too little late at the 13:34 mark for AIC. Tendler smoked his second score after taking a feed from the point from
Mike Little and one-timed the Jackets third goal.
Ramirez stopped 20 shots in net for AIC while Volkening turned away 10 stops for the Falcons.
AIC and Air Force will conclude their weekend series tomorrow evening at 7:05 p.m.
