Rich Hasenfus was named the Head Coach of Yellow Jackets Wrestling in July of 2016.

In 2018-19, Hasenfus coaches three wrestlers to placing at the 2019 NCAA Super Regional I Tournament, with graduate Ray Sherwood and freshman Joel Morth taking sixth at heavyweight and 149 and sophomore JoJo Gonzalez earning third at 157. Gonzalez advanced to the NCAA National Championship,  the first AIC wrestler to do so since 2012 and the first ever in that weight class.”

A member of the New England Wrestling Association Hall of Fame, Hasenfus brings an impressive resume to the Yellow Jackets, beginning nearby at Springfield College, where he wrestled from 1984-89, captaining the team and reaching the NCAA Tournament.
