Mike Tenney

Michael Tenney was named the Head Coach of the club men’s ice hockey team on November 28, 2022. 

Tenney comes to AIC after serving as the head coach and hockey director of the Connecticut Chiefs U18 Midget AAA program from 2019-22. His coaching experience stretches back to 2008, and includes time as the head coach and general manager of the USPHL’s Hartford Jr. Wolfpack and as associate head coach and assistant general manager of the NAHL’s Northeast Generals.

Additionally, Tenney has worked with several USA Hockey-sanctioned programs, including as a USA Hockey National Festival U14 and U16 Coach and as a Team Leader for the U.S. National Development Program Atlantic District.

Tenney is a graduate of Millersville University, with a bachelor’s degree in communication and broadcasting with a coaching minor. He is American Sports Education Program Certified and has a Level 4 Advanced USA Hockey Coaching Certification.
