After a career where he rewrote the record books, Lucas Morales Fernandes '24, '25 returns to his alma mater as an assistant coach, where he will work with the goalkeepers.
Morales Fernandez racked up program records in wins and shutouts while leading the Yellow Jackets to the NCAA Tournament for the first time in 2021, compiling a 14-4-1 record with eight clean sheets. Among those shutouts were a six-save effort against Molloy University in the program's first-ever NCAA Tournament game, and he earned Second-Team All-Conference honors.
He also held national number one Franklin Pierce University scoreless across 110 minutes in the 2023 Northeast 10 Conference Championship Quarterfinals, putting one of the very few blemishes on the record of the eventual national champions.
