American International College Head Field Hockey Coach Rhonwen Peters ’11 named Katelynn Leclerc ’20 the program’s graduate assistant coach on December 17, 2020.

A native of Holyoke, Massachusetts, Leclerc came to AIC in the fall of 2016 following her graduation from Holyoke High School, where she was a three-time All-Western Mass selection and a two-year captain. She played in 70 games for AIC in her four seasons at back, notching three goals and two assists for eight points and proving to be a critical piece for the team, starting every game from her sophomore season onward.

She served as a team captain in her senior season of 2019, helping the team to its fifth 10-win season in program history and earning Second Team All-Northeast-10 honors while leading the squad with seven defensive saves; that mark is tied for fifth-most in a season in program history and her 12 career defensive saves are tied for third-most in the 25 years of the team’s existence.

Leclerc graduated with a bachelor’s degree in digital and visual arts and will seek a master’s in business administration.
