Craig Cowles

Craig Cowles was named Head Men's Golf Coach on March 13, 2025. He will lead all aspects of the program.

Cowles first full season saw late success as the team won its final two meets of spring 2026.

Cowles came to AIC with a wide range of experience in the golf world. Collegiately, he coached nearby Elms College from 2009 to 2018, operating all aspects of the program. He won New England Collegiate Conference Coach of the Year honors in 2010 and 2012. The team won the NECC in 2010 and 2013, and the program reached the 2014 NCAA Division III National Tournament. Additionally while at Elms, he spent four years on the NCAA's Northeast Region Regional Advisory Committee.

Beyond his time at Elms, Cowles has built teams to compete in over 50 junior golf tournaments, with both with men's and women's golfers, and coached at the then-Cathedral High School (now Pope Francis Preparatory School), with an MIAA Division I Individual Champion in 2000 and finishing as MIAA Division I State Team Runner-Up in 2001.

In addition to his coaching experience, Cowles has worked in golf equipment sales, where his knowledge of the sport helped him increase sales and improve marketing at companies such as TaylorMade, Worldwide Golf Shops, Dr. Greens Golf and Entertainment, and Adams Golf.

Cowles is a member of the Golf Coaches Association of America and the United States Golf Association. He studied education and business at Springfield College.
