Bussy Adam was named American International College Associate Head Men's Lacrosse Coach in January 2026. He will assist in all aspects of the program.
Adam joins AIC after 41 years with Newton North High School, including the last 32 years as the head coach. With the Tigers, he posted a 441-179 record, winning 15 Bay State Conference titles, five Eastern Massachusetts Championships, and three MIAA State Championships, sending dozens of student-athletes to the NCAA level.
Adam additionally has extensive club coaching experience with Newton Youth Lacrosse, the Primetime Power Penguins, Warrior Elite, Kings Lacrosse, Piatelli Lacrosse, Stallions Lacrosse, and Freight Train Lacrosse; he has directed lacrosse camps and leagues in Newton since 1989 and has spent the last six years as the director of Breaker Summer Lacrosse Camps at the Roxbury Latin School.
A graduate of the University of Massachusetts-Boston (then Boston State College) with a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Adam is familiar with Springfield as a graduate of Western New England University, where he earned a master of science in criminal justice administration.
Adam was inducted into the Newton North High School Hall of Fame in 2004, the UMass Boston Hall of Fame in 2006, and the US Lacrosse Hall of Fame – Eastern Massachusetts Chapter in 2016. He has been Boston Globe Coach of the Year and Bay State League Coach of the Year, and earned the Judge Franklin Flaschner Adult Award for community leadership.
