Bill Bonavita joined the men's soccer staff as a Volunteer Assistant Men's Soccer Coach prior to the 2026 season. He will assist in all aspects of the program.
A decorated high school and club coach, Bonavita also serves as the assistant varsity coach at Minnechaug High School, primarily working with the goalkeepers; he previously served in a similar role at Southwick-Tolland Regional High School.
He has additionally coached with the Western United Pioneers junior program, leading both boys and girls from U11 to the U17 level.
Bonavita played collegiately at Springfield Technically Community College, helping leading the Rams to an MCCAA Championship and the NJCAA Region XXI Semifinals. He graduated from the University of Connecticut with a degree in physical therapy.
He has a United Soccer Coaches Diploma - Goalkeeping Level, as well as National and Junior National Diplomas from the former NSCAA; he also as MYSA E and F licenses, a Red Cross CPR and First Aid certification, and a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS) from the NSCA.
