WORCESTER, Massachusetts - The American International College ice hockey team fell 3-1 to The College of the Holy Cross on Monday, February 24 in Atlantic Hockey America play.
AIC ends the regular season at 11-21-2 with a 9-16-1-0-0-3 mark.
The Crusaders scored once in each period. William Elias broke the ice at 16:44 of the first, while Matthew Kursonis tallied at 7:29 of the second and Jack Stockfish scored at 6:59 of the third. Liam McLinskey assisted on each goal.
AIC's lone goal in the game came in the third. Justin Mexico made a smooth pass across the offensive blue line to Hunter Longhi, who cut from the left circle across the goal mouth and stuffed his second of the season underneath Thomas Gale at 11:09. Alexander Malinowski earned the second assist on the goal.
In net, Adam Manji was brilliant, with a career-best 40 saves.
AIC turns its attention to the postseason, where the Yellow Jackets will face RIT in the Atlantic Hockey First Round.
