BOSTON, Massachusetts - The American International College track and field teams competed at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship over the weekend of February 22-23.
AIC's top performer was sprinter Ayoub El Fahim. He placed third in the 200-meter dash with a time of 21.68 seconds, and ran the second leg of AIC's 4x400-meter relay that also took third, coming in with a time of 3:20.96. Justin Baker, Mike Richetts, and Kevin Brady also ran that relay, as the first, third, and anchor leg respectively.
Baker also scored for AIC with a seventh-place finish in the 200-meter dash at 22.16 seconds.
Other scorers included Joel Lisoma, who took eighth in the 60-meter hurdcles at 8.97 seconds and ran the third leg of AIC's eighth-place distance medley relay team that also included Christopher Dias, Evan Fitzgerald, and Ben Stevenson completing the race in 11:51.37, and Kareem Jeffries-Hazard, who threw 15.68 meters in the weight throw to claim fourth place.
On the women's side, Johnelle Thomas finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.20 seconds, while Rebecca Toure took fourth in the weight throw with a 14.34-meter throw.
