HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Off the tip, the Ravens gained control of the ball, laid it in and drew the foul as four seconds elapsed. Sophia Holmes completed the three-point play. On the Yellow Jackets' first possession, freshman guard Kayla Robinson nailed a jumper to make it a one-point game. The Yellow Jackets took their first lead of the game at the 8:54 mark on a jumper by Siders. The game was knotted at six when the Yellow Jackets closed the quarter on a 13-4 run. After 10 minutes of play the Yellow Jackets led 19-10.
- Fifteen seconds into the second stanza, Siders nailed a deep three to make it a double-digit game. The Ravens made it a nine-point game with 5:52 remaining in the first half. With under two minutes on the clock, the Ravens made it 26-12 on a jumper in the paint. Siders added to her eventual team-high 21-points with a three to give AIC the 29-21 lead at the break.
- Junior forward Jayla McDuffie was hot out of the locker room as she hit her first two shots as AIC took the 11-point advantage. The teams battled in a hard-fought third quarter. Headed into the final frame, the Yellow Jackets led 42-35.
- The Ravens tied the game up with 4:12 remaining on an old fashioned three-point play by Izzy Lipinski as the Yellow Jackets timeout. Out of the huddle, Perry scored a pair of her 15 fourth quarter points. Franklin Pierce's Holmes drained a wing three to give her team the 57-56 lead. Perry went 1-of-2 from the line on the next possession, but the Ravens answered with one at the charity stripe. Perry's hot hand did not fade as she gave the Yellow Jackets the one-point lead on a powerful right-handed layup and AIC did not look back. Down the last 30 seconds of play, AIC went 4-of-6 from the line to take the game 61-58.
