LAST TIME OUT:
- The Yellow Jackets traveled to Waltham, Mass. to take on No. 16 Bentley University on Wednesday, January 16.
- AIC had a strong first half, leading the 16th best team in the nation, 33-32.
- In the third, the Falcons scored 18 points and held AIC to just 7 points, leading 50-40.
- With 3:50 remaining in the game, freshman guard Zoe Willis knocked down the fast break jumper to cut the Bentley lead to four, 56-52.
- Both teams would trade baskets down the stretch and the Falcons would convert on their free throws, defeating AIC 63-58.
- Saint Anselm last played Southern Connecticut on Tuesday, January 15. The Hawks defeated the Owls on the road, 80-69.
LAST TIME THEY MET:
- AIC last played Saint Anselm at Butova Gym on January 12, 2018. The Yellow Jackets fell to the Hawks, 64-56.
- Senior forward Dana Watts led both teams in points and rebounds with 26 points and 17 rebounds.
SCOUTING THE HAWKS:
- The Hawks will be hosting the Yellow Jackets, but have found most of their success on the road with an 8-0 record. Saint Anselm has a 3-4 record at home.
- Junior forward Shannon Ryan leads the Hawks in scoring with 19 points per game. Sophomore guard Peyton Steinman leads the team in assists and rebounds with 3.5 assists per game and almost six rebounds per game.
- The Hawks are 7-3 against NE10 opponents, falling to two ranked opponents, Bentley and Stonehill.
- This will be Saint Anselm's second home game this year, falling to New Haven in their first home matchup of 2019, 63-59.
