PHILADELPHIA - The American International College men's rugby team advanced to the plate semifinals on the second day of the Collegiate Rugby Championship, on Sunday, June 4 at Talen Energy Stadium.
AIC ended the day with a 1-1 record, falling in the semifinal to Dartmouth College, 26-21, in a nationally televised game. The Yellow Jackets had the lead at the half, 14-7, but were unable to hang on for the win.
The day began with an AIC win in the quarterfinal, in a rematch against the University of Arizona. After beating Arizona on Saturday by a score of 12-7, AIC won once again, this time by a score of 17-14.
The season-concluding loss was just AIC's second loss this season on the A side in a successful year for the Yellow Jackets.
