Women's rugby rounds out season at NIRA Cup

HANOVER, New Hampshire - The American International College women's rugby team took to the pitch for one final time this season, heading north to Dartmouth College to participate in the National Intercollegiate Rugby Association Championship. The Yellow Jackets went 1-3 on the weekend.

The Yellow Jacket dropped their first two games 27-0 to host Dartmouth, and 41-0 to Army before bouncing back.

AIC then took on the Golden Rams of West Chester. The Yellow Jackets trailed 17-12 as the clock ran down in the second half. Beth Harvey scored a try as the clock expired to tie the game at 17. She then lined up to take the conversion and sent it down to middle to give the Yellow Jackets the 19-17 win.

The Yellow Jackets dropped their final game to Harvard by a score of 24-5.
