HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • Alexander Payusov closed out his hat trick and gave the Huskies an insurance goal and a 6-4 lead with 2:13 remaining.

COACH'S CORNER:
  • "Good news and bad news - we showed we can move up and down the ice against a pretty good Hockey East team," said AIC coach Eric Lang. "I think getting up 3-0 changed our attack mentality and we then decided we wanted to defend them instead of playing on the offense which is a strength of ours. Credit to those guys - we knew they were going to make a big push there, and our response wasn't great."

NEXT UP:
  • AIC travels north on Interstate 91 to take on the University of Massachusetts in another nonconference contest on Saturday, October 14. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
