SPRINGFIELD, Massachusetts - The American International College women's tennis team celebrated Senior Day on Saturday, recognizing the accomplishments of seniors Eleanna Fulop and Isabela Daudt in addition to graduate student Logan Smith. Each had stellar performances on the court on Saturday, with the team falling 6-3 as a whole to St. Michael's College.
Daudt and Fulop both had victories at singles, with Daudt finishing at 6-4, 6-4 at second singles and Fulop winning 6-2, 6-1 at third singles.
Fulop and Smith paired up at second doubles, falling in a close match with a final score of 9-8 (6). That match lasted an hour and 20 minutes. Daudt also had a close call at first doubles paired up with sophomore Carleyah McLean, with the final ending in an 8-6 score.
McLean, at first singles, came away with a 6-2, 6-2 victory. Smith fell at fourth singles, 6-0, 6-2. Taeha Woodard had a 6-1, 6-3 result at fifth singles.
AIC next takes the court on Sunday when they travel to face Southern New Hampshire University.
