SETTING THE SCENE: With a win Saturday the Yellow Jackets put themselves in the middle of the Atlantic Hockey Standings after claiming one point Friday night in their first draw of the season.

ABOUT AIC: The Yellow Jackets (6-14-1, 5-8-1 AHA) skated to their first tie of the season Friday night after leading the Colonials 2-0 in the first period.

Senior Jon Puskar lit the lamp for the 10th time this season and, along with freshman David Norris, lead the team with 19 points apiece.

DOING THE DISHES: Norris has been handing out helpers all season, leading the team with 17 assists including two in the draw with Robert Morris Friday night. He currently ranks fifth in asissts in Atlantic Hockey.

Norris boasts 19 points and has pulled the trigger on three of his own goals this season, but it is quite clear he is a pass first kind of player in his first season on campus.

PULLING OUT ALL THE STOPS: AIC may have found its next record breaking netminder in freshman goalie Hunter Leisner (4-6-1).

After pulling out 57 stops in a dramtic 3-2 win at Masschusetts, Leisner helped the Yellow Jackets gain a point Friday night with 38 more saves.

Leisner improved his save percentage to .902 and dropped his goals-against-average to 3.74. He has recorded 424 saves in 13 games this season.

LAST TIME OUT: The Yellow Jackets downed the Minutemen 3-2 on the road at the Mullins Center Tuesday night.

MacMillan scored the game-winner at 14:40 mark, nearly 10 minutes after UMass' Steven Guzzo tied it up at two apiece. Leisner made 17 saves in the final period to hang on for the win.

After a scoreless first, Minuteman Michael Pereira broke the tie on a power-play opportunity 5:13 into the second. AIC was outshot in the period 27-6, but Popek and freshman Mike Dietrich each lit the lamp on the first two shots the Yellow Jackets rifled off in the period for a 2-1 second intermission lead.

ABOUT ROBERT MORRIS: The Colonials (5-13-3, 5-6-3 AHA) open a five-game homestand this weekend.

RMU keeps games interesting, on paper, scoring 2.8 goals-per-game while allowing 3.25. They also take 33.8 shots-per-game and opponents rifle off 34.7.

Cody Wydo and Zac Lynch have 21 points apiece. Wydo leads the team with 14 goals, while Lynch has 12 helpers. Wydo is also tied for the second
highest goal total in the conference this season.

In net, Terry Shafer has seen the most minutes, playing in 18 of the Colonials 20 games. Shafer has a 3.18 GAA and a .911 save percentage.

About the Series: The Yellow Jackets trail the Colonials 3-9-2
spanning back to their first meeting in 2007-08. The two split last season's series at the Olympia.

LAST TIME THEY MET: Freshman Dominic Racobaldo and Puskar gave the Yellow Jackets a quick 2-0 lead, but the Colonials fought back, giving AIC its first draw of the season, 4-4.

For defenseman Racboaldo, it was his first career goal, but nothing new for Puskar who net his 10th and fifth in four games.

Junior Jason Popek net his fourth in four games, while senior captain Blake Peake found the back of the net for his fifth time this season.

Up 4-3 heading into the final period, Colonial Colin South tied it up within two minutes into the final frame, but Leisner and counterpart Terry Shafer held their own the rest of the way and into overtime, each making seven saves in the third.

AIC had their chances in overtime, but Shafer stopped all three. Leisner recorded zero saves in the extra period as the Yellow Jackets controlled the puck.

NEXT UP: AIC returns home for the front end of a home-and-home with the
University of Connecticut. Puck drops at 7:05 p.m. Friday, Jan. 24. The Yellow Jackets then travel the next day to Storrs for a 7:05 p.m. tilt.
