WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men's ice hockey team lost 3-1 Saturday night to Army, in the back end of the final home-and-home series of the regular season. With the loss the Yellow Jackets fall to 5-27-2 this season and to 5-22-1 in Atlantic Hockey play, while the win improve the Black Knights record to 11-17-6 for the season and to 10-12-6 in the conference. Army was first to strike the scoreboard as junior Owen Meyer (Dundee, Ill.) found the back of the net on the power-play, 3:00 into the first period. Classmate Eric Sefchik (Brooklyn, Ohio) and sophomore Cody Omilusik (Traverse City, Mich.) dished out the assists on the goal. Meyer put the Black Knights up 2-0 when he score his second power-play goal of the night with assists from senior Zach McKelvie (New Brighton, Minn.) and freshman Marcel Alvarez (Cleveland, Ohio).
Sefchik gave Army a 3-0 lead when he tallied a goal with two-seconds remaining in the second period with assists from Omilusik and senior Mark Tilch (Silesia, Md.).

Fenton made 32 stops on the night for AIC, while sophomore Jay Clark (Baudette, Minn.) stopped 31 shots in the victory for the Black Knights.
Army outshot the Yellow Jackets 35-32 on the night and 14-7 in the second period.
Next up, AIC travels to Holy Cross for the first round of the AHA playoff on Saturday at 7:05 p.m.
