ABOUT AIC: The Yellow Jackets enter this weekend's series with a record on 4-25-1 this season and are 4-20-0 in Atlantic Hockey competition after losing to Connecticut 6-2 on Tuesday night. The Huskies were first to crack the scoreboard when sophomore Matt Miller lit the lamp at 7:50 of the first period with assists from senior B.J. Bayers and freshman Daniel Naurato. Chad Richardson tied the game at 1-1 for AIC when he found the back of the net on the power-play, just 10-minutes later. Classmate

Luciano Primiani handed out the assists on the goal. The Yellow Jackets then took their only lead of the game one-minute later, when junior
Andy Gevorkyan tallied his first goal of the season with assists from classmate
Mike McMillan and sophomore
Steve McLeod. The Huskies quickly knotted the score at 2-2 when freshman Corey Jendras scored a power-play goal with less than 10-seconds remaining in the period. Sophomore Andrew Olson broke the tie as he scored early in the second period with assists from classmates Matt Miller and Jason Krispel. The Huskies went up 4-2 later in the period when junior Chris Ochoa found the back of the net on the power-play. In the third period, senior Nick Schneider gave UConn a three goal lead as he netted his first goal of the season at 6:48. Sophomore Matt Pedemonti capped off the Huskies victory when he tallied a goal two-minutes later. Senior
Tom Fenton stopped 21 shots on the night for the Yellow Jackets before being replaced by sophomore
Dan Ramirez, who made three saves of his own. Junior Beau Erickson made 25 saves in the victory for UConn.

Tom Mele are next with 10 points, with 10 assists and eight goals and two assists respectively.
ABOUT SACRED HEARTt: The Pioneers enter this weekend's home-and-home series with a record of 7-19-4 this season and are 7-14-3 in the conference after being swept by Army last weekend. Sacred Heart lost the first game 4-3 and the second 3-1. On Friday, the Pioneers jumped out to an early 1-0 lead when senior Kyle Tyll tallied a goal just 2:46 into the game. Just 40-seconds later, Sacred Heart took a 2-0 advantage when junior Erik Boisvert lit the lamp with assists from senior Eric Giosa and junior Matt Gordon. The second period was owned by the Black Knights as they scored four times to take a 4-2 lead heading into the third period. Seniors Matt Hickey and Zach McKelvie, junior Owen Meyer, and freshman Mark Dube each scored a goal in the period. Junior Dave Jarman attempted to spark a comeback as he netted a goal in the third period, but it was not enough as Army won 4-3. Sophomore Oliver St. Onge stopped 29 shots for the Pioneers, while classmate Jay Clark made 25 saves in the victory for the Black Knights. In the back end of the home-and-home, after a scoreless first period Sacred Heart took 1-0 lead early in the second as Boisvert found the back of the net at 1:03. That would turn out to be the only goal the Pioneers scored as Army tallied three goals in the period. McKelvie, senior Will Ryan, and sophomore Cody Omilusik each tallied a goal in the period. Senior Stefan Drew made 34 stops for Sacred Heart, while Clark also made 34 saves in the victory for the Black Knights.
SACRED HEARTLEADERS: Senior Bear Trapp leads the offense with 25 points including seven goals and 18 assists, while Giosa is second with 11 goals and 11 assists for 22 points this season. Boisvert is third with 21 points including a team lead 12 goals and nine assists, while freshman Matt Gingera is right behind him with nine goals and nine assists for 18 points.
THE LAST TIME THEY MET: The two schools split a home-and-home series earlier this season as AIC recorded a 5-4 win in overtime in the first game at the Olympia Ice Center, while the Pioneers tallied a 4-0 shutout in the finale at the Milford Ice Pavilion. Richardson and Mele each netted two goals, with Mele's second being the game winner just 1:45 into overtime.
ALL-TIME SERIES WITH SACRED HEART: Sacred Heart holds a record of 19-9-5 against the Yellow Jackets, and is 8-1-2 against AIC since 2005. During that stretch the Pioneers have outscored the Yellow Jackets 47-22.
