WEST SPRINGFIELD, Mass. – The American International College men's ice hockey team lost Saturday's matinee with Canisius 4-0. With the loss the Yellow Jackets fall to 2-8-1 overall and to 2-6-1 in Atlantic Hockey, while the win improves the Golden Griffins to 7-6-1 this season and to 6-3-1 in the conference.
Sophomore forward Scott Moser (Tonawanda, N.Y.) got the scoring started for Canisius when he buried a penalty shot 15-minutes into the first period. AIC held a 14-10 shot advantage in the period.
In the second period the Golden Griffins tallied three goals power-play goals to extend their lead to 4-0 heading into the game's final period. Junior forward Corey Conacher (Burlington, Ont.) netted two of those power-play goals, while senior forward Jason Weeks (Seattle, Wash.) scored the other. Junior Vincent Scarsella (Lackawanna, N.Y.) dished out an assist on each of Conacher's goals.

Dan Ramirez# (Rochester, N.Y.) stopped 29 shots in the loss for AIC, while senior Andrew Loewen (Winnipeg, Man.) made 32 saves to claim the shutout for Canisius.
Next up, the Yellow Jackets host Mercyhurst over Thanksgiving break, for two games at home beginning on Friday at 7:05 p.m. at the Olympia Ice Center.
