Martinez and Worrall go Unbeaten as Men's Tennis Falls to WNEU, 5-4

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. Freshman Ricardo Martinez (Valencia, Spain) and graduate student James Worrall (Epsom, England) each went 2-0 on the day, but it was not enough as American International College fell, 5-4, to Western New England University this afternoon in men's tennis action.

Martinez and Worrall opened the match securing first doubles for the second time this season before they each secured their singles matches, Martinez at No. 1 and Worrall at No. 2.

Freshman Luis Gouveia (Cabo Frio, Brazil) and sophomore Johno May (Mahtomedi, Minn.) nearly escaped with second doubles, ultimately falling 8-5.

AIC next travels to Adelphi on Saturday to resume NE-10 conference play.
