James Worrall (Epsom, England) battled, but fell in Northeast-10 Conference men's tennis action in the 2016 home opener at the Meadows Indoors against Le Moyne College Wednesday afternoon.
Worrall fell in No. 1 singles, 6-0 and 6-2 to Dolphin James Gayvert. After falling in the first set, AIC freshman
Ricardo Martinez (Valencia, Spain) won the second in second singles, 6-3, but fell in the super tiebreaker, 10-8. Worrall and Martinez piucked up games in a competitve first doubles, but ultimately fell, 8-5.
Jacket freshman
Luis Gouveia (Cabo Frio, Brazil) picked up games in both sets at No. 3 singles, but lost to Stephane Legris, 6-3, 6-1.
The Yellow Jackets return to the courts Saturday, Mar. 26 when they host Franklin Pierce University at Central High. First serve with the Ravens is slated for 1 p.m.
