Mark Cordiero was inducted into the AIC Athletics Hall of Fame in 2024 following an astounding football career at multiple offensive positions.
A tremendous back, Cordeiro posted 5007 all-purpose yards in his four seasons, playing fullback and quarterback. In 1988, he went under center for Alex Rotsko's team, throwing 22 touchdown passes and rushing for seven more, earning a selection as the New England Division II Offensive Player of the Year. Returning to the fullback position in 1989, he nevertheless dominated, earning another New England Division II Offensive Player of the Year honor.
Cordeiro's ability on the gridiron earned him major praise from his peers; he was the winner of the 1990 President's Trophy, awarded to the top student-athlete at the College, as well as winning the Alumni Football Award as the most outstanding senior on the team.
