George "Babe" Meacham was a baseball, basketball and football player at AIC. He graduated from AIC in 1939 and is considered by many to be one of the greatest athletes ever to play for the College. Meacham was a center and middle linebacker as a member of the football team and was AIC's first All-American. He once made 33 tackles in a single game.
