Frank “Moose” Stronczek, a Chicopee, Mass. native, played basketball for three seasons and made his mark on the Yellow Jacket record books. He holds the school record for points in a game, dropping 48 on Boston University during the 1966-67 season. He also holds school records for rebounds in a season (717) and career (1,548) and still ranks 11th in school history in scoring (1,411). A two-time All-American, Stronczek's 25.0 rebound per game average still ranks third in NCAA Division II history, while he also led Division II in rebounding twice.
Following his AIC career, he was drafted by both the NBA and fledgling ABA. Stronczek would go on to play three years professionally in Munich, Germany and then played two more seasons in Antwerp, Belgium. He then worked at J. Polep Distribution.
